Description

Here is a comprehensive breakdown of the sculpture:

Posture & Composure
Reclining Stance: Ganesha is shown in a relaxed, side-resting posture (Shayan Mudra). His head rests gently on his left arm, which is supported by a round, heavily
textured bolting pillow or cushion.

Arm Positions: His left arm supports his upper body, while his right arm rests casually along his hip, with his hand resting on his upper thigh.

Trunk & Face: His trunk curves gracefully down and sweeps slightly to his left at the tip. His face features large, expressive eyes, widely fanned-out ears with fine
lining, and a distinct sacred Trishul / Tilak mark engraved on his forehead.

Attire & Ornamentation
The idol is adorned with meticulous, traditional silversmithing details:

Dhoti (Garment): His lower body is wrapped in a tight-fitting dhoti featuring deep, horizontal ridges mimicking fabric folds. It is secured at the waist by a thick,
patterned belt featuring a central circular rosette medallion.

Jewelry: Ganesha’s prominent belly is loosely draped with a sacred thread . He wears a beautifully patterned, multi-layered collar necklace, along with thick
ornamental bands on his upper arms (Bajuband), wrists, and ankles.

Crown (Mukut): He wears an elegant, tiered conical crown finished with fine geometric engravings and a small pointed finial at the top apex.

The Pedestal Base
The entire reclining figure rests upon a substantial, rectangular silver platform.

The front and sides of this base are heavily embellished with deep, traditional Nakashi (carving) work, displaying a continuous and flowing pattern of blooming
five-petal flowers and dense, scrolling vine foliage.

Material & Finish
The artifact is crafted in premium silver with a subtle, bright luster.

The artisan has deliberately left the broad expanses of the torso, face, and base platform smoothly polished to maximize light reflection, while using an antiqued
oxidized darkening technique within the crevices of the crown, dhoti folds, jewelry, and base carvings to produce magnificent depth and definition.
