Uchchaihshravas

IDOL IS MADE ON THE DRY TEAK WOOD (SAAGWAN).Sagwan wood (Indian teak) acts as the foundational core for silver furniture because it provides the necessary
heavy-duty structural strength, termite resistance, and longevity required to securely support heavy silver.

The idol features a striking, finely detailed silver sculpture of Uchchaihshravas, the mythical seven-headed flying horse from Hindu mythology (the king of horses,
born during the churning of the cosmic ocean)

Description

1. The Mythological Horse (Uchchaihshravas)
The Seven Heads: The most prominent feature is the row of seven distinct, identical horse heads attached to a single neck and body. Each head is sculpted with
intricate traditional bridal patterns or headstalls, pointed alert ears, and highly stylized, expressive eyes.

Body and Adornments: The equine body stands balanced on all four legs. It is beautifully embellished with traditional Indian engravings:

Chest Collar (Harnes): A thick, decorative chest band is engraved with a dense leaf or feather-like texture.

Saddle Blanket: The back features an engraved saddle blanket decorated with a cross-hatched grid pattern and a traditional floral scroll border.

Leg Motifs: Small, stylized leaf branches are neatly engraved near the top joints of the front and back legs.

Material: The entire figure has a smooth finish with darkened oxidized details in the deep crevices to highlight the engraving.

2. The Decorative Pedestal
The sculpture rests on an elegant, complex silver stand comprising three distinct levels:

Top Platform: A smooth, circular disc with a rope-braid texture around its upper edge. The sides are heavily carved with a continuous, deeply embossed relief of
flowers and flowing vines.

The Pillars/Legs: This platform is supported by four short, elegantly curved, scroll-shaped legs that lift it above a middle tier.

Bottom Base: A heavy, domed circular foundation decorated with a repetitive, stylized lotus petal motif (kamal patti) flanking a tiered rim
