Description

The product showcases another beautifully detailed silver idol of Garuda, the divine avian deity.

Posture & Devotional Stance
The Posture: In this rendering, Garuda is depicted in a symmetric, half-crouching or squatting stance on both feet, ready to take flight or act as a mount (vahana).
His knees are bent forward and tightly aligned with his body.

Hands in Prayer: His hands are pressed together tightly at chest level in the traditional Anjali Mudra (the gesture of respect and devotion).

The Wings: A pair of large wings are spread wide open behind him. The tops of the wings are styled with broad, rounded, scale-like plumage, tapering down into longer
vertical feathers below.

Anatomy & Royal Ornaments
Facial Features & Halo: The deity has a serene human face with large eyes and a traditional tilak marked on his forehead. Behind his head sits a smooth, circular

silver halo that highlights his divinity.

The Crown (Mukut): He wears an elaborate, tall crown decorated with horizontal beaded rows and a central floral sunburst design. The crown is topped with a distinct,
upright peacock feather finial (mayur pankh).

Body & Leg Armor:

His upper chest is decorated with a clean collar necklace.

His lower legs are wrapped in heavy, rounded horizontal bands resembling protective shin guards or layered jewelry cuffs.

A small circular medallion or belt buckle sits right at the center of his waist between his thighs.

The Pedestal Base
The entire idol rests upon a grand double-lotus pedestal base. The upper layer features polished lotus petals pointing upward, while the lower base
features finely etched petals flaring downward, finished with a subtle beaded trim at the very bottom.

Material & Finish
The sculpture features a brilliant, uniform satin silver finish.

The craftsman has delicately oxidized (darkened) the recessed lines within the crown, the background of the halo, the wing feathers, and the crevices of the
lotus base to provide crisp lines, shadow, and beautiful depth.
